"Quick as I am to let manufacturers know when there is a problem, I am also quick to pass along compliments. In your case it's definitely a compliment. I don't know why, but I have never seen your ice cream in the store before (New Seasons). This is a wonderful product!! I ate the whole half gallon myself! And it's a full half gallon!! Thank you for your commitment to healthy business practices and products. I don't mind paying more for a quality product. I bought this on sale and it wasn't much more than plain ol' Dreyers.

This time I tried Cookies & Cream. Next I'd like to try Cookie Dough.

"I wanted to let you know about a recent mistake I made purchasing ice cream. I walked into my local New Seasons store in Beaverton Oregon to purchase a quart of Lochmead Swiss Double Fudge Chocolate ice cream as I have many times before. However, this time the store ran a half price promotion on one of your competitors. In a temporary lapse of judgment I figured I would try the competitor's ice cream to compare. Big Mistake. There simply is no comparison. Your ice cream is in a category of its own. I knew it was good, but after purchasing the other one, I now really appreciate how good it is. All I can say is please don't change anything about it and keep up the good work!

"I have looked high and low for Blueberry Cheesecake ice cream and can not find it anywhere except the Oregon coast! Then I came across yours @ Roth's and it is by far the absolutely BEST tasting blueberry cheesecake I have ever tasted!!!! "I used to shop for milk based on price. But after hearing about the closing of a very good local dairy in Silverton, I decided to support my local dairy Lochmead. The price point gets me very fresh and tasty milk as well as the possibility that your dairy will continue to prosper. I appreciate the information you offered about what Lochmead is doing. The fact that you operate from a single dairy herd is an interesting subtlety probably lost on most consumers. The much respected (another dairy) for example, has milk delivered from Washington. So Lochmead is in a league of their own."

I didn't buy these 10 cartons of ice cream because they were the cheapest available. I chose you because you still sell and honest half gallon! A full 64 ounces. Please don't ever chip away at that full half gallon. Things like that are what made us a great country - full, honest, old-time measures. You're probably the last to do so. I will purchase only your brand, inform everyone I know about you and I even promise to support you in the dead of Winter! Raise your prices if you must, but don't whittle away at your measure. It's ok at any price, just don't lower your standards. I'm your customer for life!"

"Hi, I'm not sure how to start an email out to an ice cream maker but i will give it a go.... I love your ice cream. I have NEVER wanted to email any maker of any item that i consumed in this world until i ate your cookie dough ice cream and since, many other flavors. I want you to know that i travel every three days or so to the one store in Portland that i know carries your product to just stock up on your ice cream. I have been a connoisseur of ice cream for many years. I have dabbled in Ben and Jerry's, Annies and Haggan Daz for years and have finally found the one ice cream that is true, natural, and pure in your Lochmead brand ice cream. Thank you. I mean really, thank you for your time you put into this product. Of a side note, my store that i find your ice cream ran out of the cookie dough brand. I was forced to buy Ben and Jerry's brand cookie dough and could not finish but only a few bites without putting it away for good. Your cookie dough is head and tales above that of Ben and Haggan Daz. Thank you, and keep up the great work!"

"I stumbled upon a Dari Mart while at a basketball game in Albany. This particular Dari Mart offered ice cream by the scoop and it was the first time I tasted your ice cream. Now every time someone is going through Albany, I ask them to pick me up a couple cartons. Our family favorite is Oatmeal Cookie, with Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Pumpkin a close second ... Thanks for producing such great, high-quality ice cream. We love supporting our local farmers, so come to Salem soon!"
