Potatoes Baked in Milk

Serves 6

2 lbs. Russet Potatoes peeled and slice thin
1 ¼ C. Whole Milk
1 ¼ C. Heavy Cream
Salt and Pepper
Grated Nutmeg

Directions

Preheat oven to 275°. Arrange potatoes in slightly overlapping layers in an 8 cup baking dish. Mix together milk and cream in a bowl, then pour over potatoes to just cover them. Bake 1 hour.

Remove pan from oven and generously season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Return pan to oven and bake until liquid is thick and bubbling and the top is golden brown, about 1 ½ hours more.
